Australian Alcohol Policy

Tratan Treats is committed to the responsible service of alcohol. It is illegal to supply alcohol to individuals under 18 years of age.

When purchasing a gift hamper with alcohol, you affirm that you are 18 years or older. It’s a legal obligation for both the person placing the order and the recipient to be over 18. The shipping address must differ from the billing address.

We operate within the category specified by Liquor & Gaming NSW, and we adhere to Australian laws governing the responsible service of alcohol. As our products are exclusively sold as gift baskets, we are not obligated to possess an Australian liquor license.

According to Liquor & Gaming NSW, a liquor license is not required for the sale of alcohol included in the sale of flowers or food meant as a genuine gift. Specific conditions apply:

• The alcohol must be purchased from a retail liquor outlet.
• Two litres is the maximum volume allowed in each gift.
• The gift must be packaged and presented as a gift.
• The gift can only be delivered to an adult other than the purchaser.
• The gift cannot be delivered to the location where it was purchased.
• Gifts must be delivered between 7 am to 7 pm.

This means that alcohol can only be purchased as an add-on to a hamper and cannot be bought individually.

All hampers with alcohol require a signature from an adult upon delivery. If an adult is not available, the package will be sent to the local post office for pickup by the recipient, who must be 18 years or older.
